Hattat Muthanna al-Obeidi kimdir? Muthanna al-Obeidi hayatı ve eserleri

Born in 1972 in Iraq, Muthanna al-Obeidi

holds a bachelor of science degree in

chemistry from the University of Baghdad.

He received both his calligraphy training

and certificate from Abbas al-Baghdadi

in the Iraqi Calligraphers Association. He

taught Arabic calligraphy and Islamic

ornamentation privately in Baghdad.

He decorated the State Mushaf in Iraq.

His calligraphic inscriptions decorate

mosques, presidential palaces and

ministries in Iraq. He was a board member

of Iraqi Calligraphers Association and

received numerous awards in local

and international festivals, forums and

competitions of calligraphy. He was

awarded honorary doctorates in art by

Dar es Salaam International University of

Science and Technology in Urfa. He was

commissioned to write a Mushaf al-Sharif

in thuluth-naskh style for the King Faisal

Center for Islamic Studies in Riyadh. He

currently works as an art director and

calligrapher in a company in Amman.
