Mahdi Atrian

Birth Place İran

Born in 1957 in Isfahan, Atrian studied

calligraphy with Fazaeli and Moein

Isfahani. He teaches in universities and

calligraphy schools, particularly on the

taliq and shikasta scripts. Atrian received

numerous awards including the Best Work

Award in Tehran Islamic World Calligraphy

Competition (1998), the Excellence in Art

Certificate from the Ministry of Culture

and Islamic Guidance of Iran (2008)

and the Senior Master Certification in

shikasta nastaliq script from the Iranian

Calligraphers Association (2009). Mahdi

Atrian held exhibitions in Azerbaijan, Iran

and Pakistan.
