Mamoun Yaghmour

Born in Hama in 1961, Mamoun Yaghmour

studied mechanical engineering at the

University of Aleppo and fine arts at the

University of Beirut. He was a jury member

of the Abdulhamid al-Khatib Competition

held in Syria. He is a member of the Syrian

Association of Visual Arts and the Egyptian

Calligraphers Association. He taught Arabic

calligraphy at the Eymen International

Institute in Syria. Yaghmour teaches

calligraphy and decoration courses at the

Center for Islamic Arts Vasitiye Institution,

Kuwait University, and al-Smou Institute

for Consulting and Training.
