About Artist

Born in Konya in 1986, he began taking riqa lessons from Tahir Güçlü in 1999, encouraged by his late grandfather, Abdullah Rıza Bey. In 2000, he started practicing thuluth under Hüseyin Öksüz. He graduated from the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Selçuk University, in 2010. There, he took diwani and jali diwani lessons from Fatih Özkafa. He has benefited from valuable masters, including Mehmed Özçay, Osman Özçay, Davud Bektaş, and Ali Toy. The artist, who has won a total of 14 awards in national and international competitions, continues his taliq lessons with his teacher Hüseyin Öksüz.
